The Vineyard

We know that terroir drives uniqueness in wine, and Sen Vineyard’s special flavour profile is the result of its distinct deep black and loamy soils, coupled with the districts microclimate, which create a longer growing season and hang time. The wine’s tannins are rounded out with a soft, dusty style, imparting such a distinct signature known as the “White Hills Mist”. For many fans of Sen Vineyard, it’s an utterly addicting element that keeps them coming back vintage after vintage.

We Respect the Land

We recognize the traditional Custodians of the land on which we grow our grapes and pay our respects to their Elders past present and emerging. We extend that respect to The Palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal) people and in particular, to the Tonenerweenerlarmenne clan who are thought to have traversed the White Hills district enroute to Ben Lomond.

The Estate

Sen Vineyard sits like an eagle’s nest on Kanhaika Farm, in an incredibly secluded area as the beating heart of the Tamar Valley, flanked by two mountain ranges with Ben Lomond in the backdrop. This intimate hidden retreat features stunning views of open fields and overlooks the entire city of Launceston and its surrounds offering a quiet respite for those seeking the bouquet of views as intoxicating as that of our wines.

The Process

Sen’s wines are made at Spring Vale Winery in the east coast of Tasmania. While each grape variety has its own identifiable characteristics, our winemaker creates the style, flavour, and personality for our finished wines.
